Celebrate your half marathon or 5K finish with your friends and family at The Magnificent Mile® Chicago Women’s Half Marathon & 5K Post-Race Party taking place in beautiful Grant Park (on Columbus Drive between Balbo Drive and Roosevelt Road). The Post-Race Party will include music, energy, food and much more. The Post-Race Party will kick-off at 7:30am as we welcome back our 5K finishers and is open to the public.
The Magnificent Mile® Chicago Women’s Half Marathon & 5K would not be possible without the fantastic dedication, enthusiasm and hard work of our volunteers throughout race week and on race day.

Gear Check will open at 5:15am and will close promptly at 11:00am.
For security purposes, you must have your bib number visible and pinned to the front of your torso to gain access to the Gear Check area. In addition, participants will be provided a 12in. x 18in. clear bag at packet pick-up to use for checking their belongings. This will be the only bag that will be accepted at gear check on race day.
To ensure a speedy drop off and retrieval process, attach your Gear Check Tag to your bag prior to drop off. Your Gear Check Tag is the tear-off tag on the top of your bib number. Beaded luggage ties are available at Packet Pick-Up to secure your tag. Please do not check any valuables as we are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Event Alert System (EAS)
The Event Alert System (EAS) communicates the status of course conditions to participants leading up to and on race day via e-mail updates, color coded signs and flags.Â Alert levels range from Low (green) to Moderate (yellow) to High (red) to Extreme (black) based primarily on weather conditions, as well as other factors.
All participants should familiarize themselves with the Event Alert System prior to the race, remain alert for directions from race officials throughout the event and take precautions to prepare properly for varying weather conditions on race day.
